A Day at the Circus

The Ringling Brothers Circus will be having its final shows. According to the article the final show will be on May 21 after having several decades of performing for children and adults worldwide. Once known as one of the best shows on Earth, it has lost its audience after several years of having daring stunts and performances. Many have chosen to go to a movie theater to find entertainment, but they have found a way to entertain modern audiences. Ringling Brothers Circus mixes their performances with projections and video to catch up with modern technology, but it is more lackluster. They made the stunts more daring by creating a show based in Outer Space. They kept some classics such as the motorcyclists and acrobats, but have discarded their elephants after having backlash for using them in their shows.
The use of elephants ended last year, which has saddened the older generation but change is always happening and more animals need to stay in the wild rather than captivity. Many people would have heated debates on blogs or twitter conversation about whether the elephants should remain in the circus. Some of their other wild animals remain since their animals are what made them stand out to the audience. Thus, the animals must perform until the show has ended. Until then, children and adults continue to enjoy the final shows while there is still a tent placed on the ground.
